  • Texas Concrete Sealing
Almost all damage to concrete is attributable to moisture intrusion: alkali-silica reaction (ASR), chemical intrusion, freeze/thaw, and corrosion of reinforcements. Protect your next construction project with Texas Concrete Sealing. We specialize in control joint and expansion joint sealing.
  • Texas Concrete Scanning
Scan before you cut to locate hidden obstructions in concrete! Concrete scanning - also known as GPR scanning - provides a real-time internal view of concrete slabs, walls and structures. The process is safe (no radiation), accurate and considerably more time efficient than x-ray.

Concrete Diamond Grinding

Diamond grinding is a process used to remove surface imperfections from concrete pavement and restore a smoother and more level plane. Concrete diamond grinding can be used to correct a myriad of issues, including:

  • Potholes, rough patches and cracks in concrete
  • Uneven joints that create potential trip hazards
  • Deteriorating surfaces and spalled areas
  • Uneven floor level that hinders the installation of tile
  • Poor concrete installation
  • Humps in floors and raised cracks

A diamond concrete grinder is the ideal tool for smoothing out bumps and removing trip-hazards as well as other defects. Since concrete is a hard surface, in order to cut it, an even harder material is required. There are very few materials in the world that are harder than diamonds, which is why diamond blades are perfect for this task.

What Are Diamond Blades?

A diamond blade is a specialized saw blade that consists of 4 components: diamond crystals, a bonding system, a segment, and a metal core. The diamond crystals used are synthetic rather than natural, and are specially engineered to stand up to the enormous stresses they encounter while grinding.

These man-made diamonds are set in a mixture of specially blended metal powders and welded to the blade’s base. The type, size, quality and concentration of diamonds used with the bonding matrix vary for specific applications depending on the type of material being cut. The bonding material is designed to wear away at a rate that matches the material being cut so that more diamonds are exposed to grind that material away. For this reason, there is a wide selection of diamond blades for different types of jobs.
